I got my new brass range rod today for my long rifle from October Country and wow I am very pleased. It's a beautiful rod nicely made {I got the wood handled one} It was a very pleasant expierence dealing with them

I like a metal rod for the range. I use my nylon coated dewey cleaning rod with a homemade tip. If I didn't have it, I'd likely make one out of brass rod.

My pair of 5/16" range rods for my .40cal arrived from OC this week...got a few 5/16" nylon muzzle guides, jags, and brushes from Builder's Supply.

Still waiting on 1000 .40cal patches from Thunder Ridge...don't know if they're closed for vacation or what...get phone recordings and no response to my Emails.

I have a Dewey rod I use for a range rod for my Kentucky rifle which is a 45 I also use it for some cartridge rifles. I love the Dewey. I added this brass rod for my new 50 cal. I dunno how I got so picky but I've settled into having a specific rod for each gun. These brass rods are cool to me. I love the way they get all black, stained and knarly looking at a shoot. Then when I come home I use a wee bit of Zep chrome paste on them and they shine up and look like gold
