I had a brass scope many years ago. It was made by Tasco 4 power about 32" long. An ex co worker of mine hounded and hounded me for it before I ever used it. That was 30 years ago and 4 states away. I am re kindling a love I have for a .45 Kentucky percussion rifle I built around the same time. I have been thinking of adding a scope like that to the .45. Has any body here used one of these scopes? I think it would be pretty cool. That .45 with open sights is a real tack driver. It will keep 5 shots in one hole at 25 yards. The hole is slightly bigger than a .45 ball. Are those scopes any good? Are there any problems with them? Thank you gentlemen and have a Happy Easter.

The only experience I have had with them was on a friend's Hawken. It kept getting knocked out of alighnment . It would work great for a while but then he would bump it and we would have to sight it in again. Plus on the Hawken it set to far back and kept hitting his eyebrow. I think it would work better on a Kentucky. The scope itself was good but his mounting on the Hawken wasn't.
