By way of explanation, although this may have been addressed elsewhere/previously, I have no luck trying to use the search function. Also, I have never had a new gun so this is new to me. I received a new .62 club butt fowler and I do not know if the barrel should be treated/coated/etc. prior to use or if the patch lube I use will be sufficient. The collection I have at hand to use for lube is Hoppes 9 Plus, TC Maxi Lube, Ultra Hi Grease Patch or good old-fashioned bear grease. I was figuring on running a patch with bear grease before loading to put a light coat inside, and then just go from there as usual. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
