I have completed constructing and proof-tested a breechloading flintlock pistol. The weather here is too bad for me to complete chronographing and accuracy testing, but I have put up a web page describing its design and construction.

It looks like it will be a fun piece to shoot...

Very nice! If you allowed for 10,000 p.s.i., you definitely over built---always a good idea. Be sure to post velocities and group sizes as you get them. This is truly an interesting experiment. And the pistol is handsome as well.

Agree with the Rebel, you going to produce them? Interesting pistol.

No, I'm not doing anything commercial with the pistol; I just did it as an educational 'fun' project. If anyone else wants to produce them, they have my blessings.
 
If a person was interested in having you make one for them, would you consider it? And if so, what would you charge for one?
