Breechplug advice

I recently received a barrel in .45 caliber 1" ATF that needs a breechplug. It has been bored about 9/16ths on one end to about 3/4 inch depth. I figure 5/8ths by18 thread pitch should work fine,the question is will a standard flint breechplug tang be tall enough for the barrel flat? If not, would silver soldering a slice of steel on top of the tang be acceptable? I have another barrel breeched that is about a 16th" lower than the barrel (round). Same question. Track of the wolf has 1" breechplugs in that size/thread

You do want the breech plug to completely fill the threads in the barrel. The depth of the threads in the barrel must equal the length of the threads of the breech plug.
