The decision by English voters to exit the EU has really knocked the [value of] the British pound v. the U.S. dollar for a loop. E.g., it was ~$1.46/Br. pound before Brexit and ~$1.33 today, meaning a Tanner RB mould will cost less today than it did a few weeks ago. If you need an excellent quality mold, which fits both Lyman (large) and RCBS handles, now would be an excellent time to purchase one. Just some food for thought....

That's really great news! I've heard so much about the quality of their molds. Top notch from what others have said.

Unfortunately I can't see myself purchasing one when I already have several for each caliber I cast. It would definitely be a want item rather than a need item. But isn't that the way this sport goes once you've been bitten by the bug?

Just to be sure we're talking about the same outfit, aren't they the one's who make Brass custom molds?

Respectfully, Cowboy :hatsoff:

Yes, they are brass, single cavity moulds which lack a sprue cutter. Unless things have changed, Jeff will custom make one to the diameter you specify for the same price. http://www.jt-bullet-moulds.co.uk

They are very nice molds & I have four of them, but unless you need an usual diameter ball they really offer no advantage over more commonly available ones.

Probably make up the difference on shipping if they have to load it onto a Dutch ship since their purchasing power is reduced.....Besides....You only save $2.25 on a $25.00 mold...

Not really a saving for the average guy....but I you buy a million of them..... :hmm:

Actually, he mailed it to me and I think the total cost was ~$32 (five or six years ago). Btw, I went to Tanner because he was willing to make a .526" dia. RB mold, which was difficult to find here. (The guy who built my rifle said there was a tight spot in the bbl. and a .526" RB would be correct: He was wrong!) Tanner delivered the mould (sic) in 2 weeks time, but fortuitously, it cast .530" (pure lead), which is exactly what my Rice bbl. required. I couldn't be happier with the quality and accuracy of the RB's it drops.

Just to clarify....I wasn't knocking Tanner molds.. Just that the difference in the exchange rate really doesn't affect the singular purchase...
But, I'm in favor of keeping him in business in these troubled times.... So! purchase away..... :v
