All the recent threads about Indian made guns, like those from MVTC and Loyalist, got me to wondering as to whether or not any original 18th-early 19th century English military guns were actually made in India? I know they had the Ishapur factory in later years making Enfield bolt actions, etc. Anyone have any knowledge of this? :hmm:

Who and how did those slant breech Sharps with not a mark on them end up in the old stack of Enfields ect,? Fred

MY son bought a
1841 brunswick that was clearly made in India, then given or sold to the naplase.
I understand the east india company had a number of different weapons made in india.
Makes sence,, cheap labor and all they would do is copy an existing design, may modify it a little.
I wouldn't recomend buying any of their stuff.. Over priced junk IMHO
