I am now in process of browning an H & A barrel and action with Wahkon Bay browning agent. I have made the first application after de-greasing with Iso propyl alcohol. There are spots the agent didn't "take"; specially on the action with is quite shiny. My read is to wait the three hours and card with either denim or 0000 steel wool and then use an abrasive block on the action to give the surface some tooth and then make the second application---not only there but one of the flats also didn't "take" the reagent for about one foot. Any thoughts---please. :front:
