No big news.
I am thoroughly enjoying the GM .54 smoothbore barrel that TotW adapted to fit my GPR.
I finally got it to the range (closed for two months for upgrading) to test PRBs. Nice. More work to be done of course but with a tight patch and 80-85 grains of FFFg, it shoots palm sized groups at 50 yards offhand. I suppose that I should sit down and properly bench the thing - maybe next time. I can also see that the original .50 cal barrel may not get used much.
Not nearly as much trouble to clean as the rifle barrel; I guess all those lands and grooves grab on to the fouling.

Sounds great...mine is very accurate as well...and smoothbores can open up a whole 'nuther few years of experimenting and fun

I think you will learn to like this gun very much the .54 smoothy I had was a nice gun for deer or grouse and quail.

my .54 smooth rifle hunts anything from moose, bear, deer to grouse, rabits and squirels.
no question it's a good choice for the field.
good luck.

I have learned to hate the .54 smooth bore. A fellow shooting a .54 smooth gun knocked me out of first place at the state shoot last year.
Its just not fair my .62 should have won.**^^xx :rotf:

Redwing that is a classic trap to fall into. That is caliber discrimination. You need to hate the shooter not the smoothbore. :nono:
