I am wondering where and what kind of buckhorn rear might work for my older CVA Mtn Rifle. This might get a better picture, a tad farther away from the eye. I'd replace the front too. Ideas?

I have a set on mine. I picked mine up at Friendship. I'll see if I can find the business card for the guy I got mine from. I also picked up a short silver front site for mine. Dixie Gun Works, Track of the Wolf, Pecatonica, and most of the other Gun builder supply houses should have what you are looking for. Shouldn't be too expensive. I would suggest, if you haven't already, looking down the sightline or even shooting one that has them on it already. As Wick pointed out not everybody likes them. Hope this helps.
