Is that magazine still in business? I subscribed several months ago and have never received an issue and I don't see Stumblin Buffler posting on here anymore. Anyone know what's happening with Buckskinner? ::

It is known that Buckskinner had a few difficulties getting out the April/May issue. That is still in the works along with the June/July, from what I've been informed. So, we wait.

Regards, sse

That's the trouble with an "April May" issue. It May not.

I haven't got mine yet, neither. Damn highwaymen probably robbed the wagon agin; or the bridge is out and the teamsters had to chop logs and float the cargo across on a raft.

Patience, patience.

Didn't help that on the first two he had my zipcode as "13". We're a lighty populated part of the state, but not that light. If it ain't been fixed I'll be laughing at the February editorials in July.

I know I had posted some negative thoughts on this subject one day, but I truly believe Stumblin Buffler is a man who cares about his customers and is doing all that is in his power to get those mags into our hands. We all know that patience is a virtue. We just all have to be a little more virtuous. :winking:

Hang in there guys.

Wal, jus out o kuriossoty Ah went ta tha Buckskinners place an found this writin up at tha top O tha page.

The staff at Buckskinner would like to thank our loyal readers and our new subscribers for their patience
in the last month as we ironed out our printer problems.
We all know that in the beginning of any great venture there are always a few kinks to work out, and your continued support has meant a lot to us.
Now, as we finalize the June issue, we find that we have two issues to send out almost simultaneously, so that?s exactly what we?ll be doing -
you?ll be receiving your Aprill AND your June issues together this time!
We?ll be sending out June a little early so you won?t be waiting much longer,
and to thank you all for your support and understanding, we?ll be adding on an extra issue
at the end of each of our subscriber?s terms at no extra charge.

Ah spect that mite halp ye a litle.

Parsonaly, Ah kant figur out why ole Stumblin ain't been har an answard a few o yer questions. It only taks a few minets to get on har an iffen tha magazzen war min, Ah thin Ah wood ow ye som sort o personal exxplenation.

Anyway, that's what Ah found. :)

Well, speaking strictly for myself... When I subscribe to something such as, Buckskinner Magazine, I expect to recieve it on time, or within reasonable delivery time.

I realize it is a new publication, but the kinks should have been worked out long before consideration of publication.

Stumblin, I'm not giving up on your magazine, and I'm not going to lie to you and tell you, "no problem"... I am feeling a bit discouraged over not recieving it in a timely manner, but I'll stick with you. I want it to be successful as it is a much needed and wanted magazine! :peace:

We all want them to be a success but in early March I was told by S.B. there was problems with April but that the Nov- Dec issue and the Jan- Feb. issue was in the mail to me
but I've not received anything yet.

I don't wish to label myself a hypocrite (I don't subscribe to the magazine), but from an outsiders viewpoint I would like to stress that the magazine in question did NOT have to wait several months to get everyone's money...

I hate to ask this, but is anyone else waiting to be paid for an article that they wrote for Buckskinner magazine? :: S.B. approached me to write an article on handgonnes, which appeared in the February-March issue. :D

I've done nothing but defend Buckskinner magazine. I even had been trying to convince friends to advertise with it. :shake: But I, too, am having my doubts now. :what:

Just :m2c:

yes, was told the April/May issue would be late. Wasn't expecting it to be months late. Also that i would be receiving a copy of the First Premier Issue. The Premier issue was supposed to be here months ago. Ohh well, the subcription price isn't going to break me. Just hate to think that someone would take financial advantage of fellow muzzleloader shooters.

I have to addmitt I am getting disscouraged too. At least he could havd sent out a post card or something saying he was going to be LATE or, since he has the email address for most of the subscripitions...sent out a notice. This is not good business. Have seen other magazines go under this way in the past. Tipi Living out of Oregon and a BlackPowder Mag(?) of some years ago by a person going by the name of Gator. Both people took thier subscribers for some money. Not saying this here...but I am dissapointed that there has not been some news. :: ::

I very much doubt that Chris intended to take advantage of anyone. My guess is that things took a turn for the worse and he's working on fixing it.

I assume that everyone has contacted Buckskinner directly and you're not just airing your grievances on the Forum?

I've got around 20 emails and 2 PM's dating back to back to November 2004 of all my correspondence with S.B.. From his inquiry to my last inquiry of concern. I feel like I've got egg on my face, not because I haven't been paid, but because I've been actively promoting Buckskinner to all who would listen. And I'm sure that I am not the only one who feels this way. I want to see Buckskinner succeed, but, in my opinion, things are getting out of hand.

Just :m2c:

Tipis...the name "gator" struck a note. Bought some land from a "Gator"...now have a rule: never buy from someone with a reptile nickname...Hank

I would agree that hearing some news on the situation of Buckskinner Magazine could only help relieve the doubts of wondering if or when we will get what we subscribed to in good faith.

However, excusses are a dime a dozen, and that's all we've heard. Why is it always someone elses fault when something don't get done???

I have never had a problem with SB answering my e-mail or getting him on the phone if needed .

I truly believe that he has run into a snag and is doing his best to fix the problem .
Now to me I would Ruther he spend his time getting things going then time answering to those here and elsewhere. Can you imagine the amount of e-mail he is getting ?

Buckskinner is a new endeavor and as with all new things that every person here has done sometimes you hit a problem that nocks you back to square one .
SB has posted a reply on the buckskinner page as to whats going on and why .

I have a 3 year sub to his read and for right now I plan on sitting back and letting the man do his work
I believe there to be other snakes in the grass to be a wear of at this time :hmm:
