What mold do I need to look at to cast a lead bullet that is the same or similar to the 'Buffalo Bullet'?
Thanks in advance.

Buffalo Bullets have a hollow base. You would have to look at a minnie type bullet mold. Check out the Lee precision website, they have a couple different types. I honestly don't think you'll get the same performance out of a minnie as you do the Buffalo Bullet. Bullets like the Buffalo Bullet and the Hornady Great Plains Bullet are minnie/maxi hybrids. The are designed with a hollow base but are also designed to engrave the rifling when you load for a tighter fit. Minnie bullets are under-bore size and slip right down the barrel.

I shoot the flat base 460s out of my 54 with a card wad, under.

Lyman makes a "Plains" bullet mold that looks quite nice. Very simular to the Hornady Plains bullet.

When my 'stach' of BBs are shot up, I plan on buying the Lyman mold.

I have the .54 cal 450 grain Lyman Plains Bullet mold. They are a good shooting bullet and one heck of a chunk of lead to be slinging at any critter.
