I agree with another poster that Dunlap Woodcraft is a good place to look, I've bought stock blanks from them in the past and they're always very good to work with. They'll send you pictures of the blanks they have that match your needs and let you choose. I've also had good luck with Gunstocks Plus. I bought a standard grain full stock maple blank from them for $79 plus shipping, I think a straight grain maple blank can look really good if it's finished well.
