Building ME a N.W. Trade gun !! LOL ! Yet again !! Hope I keep this one ! I love that one I made for myself , the last one but ... Goofy me ....that lock made me mad and ....in seriousness , I do need to pack one around and be able to hand it to someone and be able to say " This is an example of what i make ..." all the components being the same SO .....here I go again . Pic of my last N.W. gun side plate . Just love it !

This is one crappy piece of walnut ! I could never use it for a build for a customer but ....for cheap $hit me ?! and I hate to waste things , I'll make this into a NW gun for me . There will be a chuck of wood missing at the toe of the butt stock when its done , I'll graft in a piece , and a gawg awful knot above the comb area , I'm hoping most if not all is gone by the time I get to the comb , we'll see .... So much for building one gun at a time ! LOL !! ...A.D.D. is so strange !!

I cut out the pattern shape on top and the wedge for the barrel ...it got rid of that nasty knot above the comb , thank goodness ... I got the lock I'm going to be using for the build , my standard lock for N.W. trade guns ....now I have to get the barrel . Need to call Ken soon ....I'll made the other parts , except side plate and bolts so ....here we go ! Right noe I'll put it aside and get back on Steve's Fusil de Chasse ....

Yeah , I'm waiting on the barrel for this one ...

Got the barrel , 20 ga. , 40" long , and couple others , from Ken ....Next step grind the flats at the breech, then remove breech plug and start bedding g the barrel .... probably gonna be awhile ,I have to do the same for Mr. Hubbard's Carolina Gun and. His is priority .

I'm gonna use an R.E. Davis Early English , my favorite lock , on this one , same lock shorty has on her .....probably be using that lock to build with actually ...
...if Log Cabin will ever get them back in stock . LOL ....I'll get shorty down and shoot her for ya bud She's hangin above the door right to my right , right now . Can't wait to get shellac on her .

I change my mind on the wood for the stock . I hate wasting stuff but that stock is just too messed up . I deserve a better piece of walnut than that POS so here we go .... I measured and cut out the barrel 1/2" top slab just now and cleaned it up at the breech ....

Got this kick @$$ 40" long , 20 ga. barrel from Ken Netting... He turned it to my dimensions ...gotta grind the flats on it then can start bedding it in the stock

As for how long you keep it….If there is a pool, I will take “Less than 3 weeks after completion!

Well I'm following this...I got to get off my butt and finish the ones I got started....!!! Building a building right now...it never ends...
