Hello,

A little help please. I am going to try and purchase a flintlock muzzleloader. I wanted to see if any of you could advise me on an inexpensive (<200.00) flintlock I could buy online or at a local store. I live outside of Pittsburgh,PA. I would like for it to be a .50 cal. that shoots round balls. A no name brand is fine. Thanks for your help.

Welcome.

I'll let this post ride here for a bit, but it would be better met in the "Flintlock" section.

Under $200 for a flintlock is a tough nut.

$225 for the Dixie/Pedersoli Country Hunter from Dixie Gun Works.

Traditions Deerhunter from Midsouth Shooter's Supply $147.50

(Low Stock - hurry if you want this one)

Probably CVA has something around $200. Anyone?

:m2c: You get what you pay for..... BUT.. I have found 4 different Lyman great plains rifles (flint)in pawn shops for 150 > 200.00 These arent a BAD 1st flinter, then, when you decide that rock locks ARE the way to go, and you decide what fits YOU best, you can sell it to the next guy to get a down payment on something better...
