I just filled up on CCI #11's at Dunham's, they had some Magnums it looks like someone hid in the back of the peg but there was a bunch of standard CCI #11 which I didn't think they even made anymore

Thanks for the info , I think a lot of people have been so used to just making CCI #11 work that less people are looking for Remington #10s 😀

It's good to see caps coming back

I just found 6 unopened tins in one of my shooting boxes that I completely forgot about. They had stickers on them for $4.99 so I had them for a few years. Felt like I got a bonus today!
I love finding stuff like that. I just found 2 tins of Remington #11 caps , a tin of Winchester #11 and some old tin of caps that are made in Italy I probably bought at a local gun shop 20 years ago

I still have what's left of an ancient tin of the old CCI six winger Musket caps mixed in with Rio caps in one of my cap pouches

Digging around turns up some weird stuff, I found 1 .375 lead round ball on the floor of my side porch , well, a round ball is a round ball, there's one more shot at the range 😀

I was at Cabelas near me yesterday and they had CCI #11 caps for $14.95 and Remington #11 caps for $13.95 a tin.

Agree. The CCI #10's are small. I have a bunch of regular #11's and magnum #11's.
I saw no real difference with CCI Magnums vs Regular. I don't know if theres a little less primer compound in the regular #11 , they were both 12 bucks a tin

CCI #10 only fit my Uberti Pocket Navy and really nothing else I have.

I believe $12+ is price gouging. I'm glad I have a thousand+ on hand. I believe the price will come down as the market gets saturated but not to the previous levels.

Dunham's had them at 15 previously, we'll never see them below 10 again

Cap consumption is such a small segment of the ammunition market, and we're probably seeing a big batch from Remington just because cap and ball revolvers are a little more popular now , especially on the European market where they have always been popular

Even still, Cabelas probably isn't getting huge shipments of them , they probably only have a few 10,000 and they sell out quick

CCI #11's are primarily marketed for sidelock muzzleloaders for some states muzzleloading season and even inlines use shotgun primers mostly now

It's a case of, we gotta pay to play or else our cap and ballers will be wall hangers . At least Goex will be starting production, also helped by military use of blackpowder but we still benefit
