I recently visited the newly opened Cabelas store in Glendale (Phoenix) Arizona and was impressed with size and scope of the store. Their blackpowder area was quite large and the blackpowder rifles are just in racks so you can take them down and try them out for yourself. Lots of accoutrements, bags, belts, holsters etc. The major problem here was the price they want for everything :shocked2: everywhere I looked, even their used centerfire rifles and shotguns, I was horrified :shocked2: Nice store to visit as a tourist attraction, but if you want to buy anything there, you may have to refinance your home. JMHO :nono:

The best part about them is going to be (once they get cleared by the feds)that they are going to stock honest to goodness GOEX!

Is that just the AZ store? I have one here, but haven't heard anything about BP going to be offered. I've asked and get the usual blank stare that says, "you mean people still use that old, evil stuff?" :rotf:

The Cabela's store in Buda Tx sells Goex for $16.99 per pound, limit three pounds.

Your may be right but I will almost bet you will
be looking at 17 or 18 dollars a # for Goex that you can get from www.grafs.com or any other number
of distributors for 12$ a pound. Of course you
will have to pay the Haz-Mat fee of $20, but you can order up to 25pounds. Makes the cost around
$13 a pound. I love Cabela's but a dollar is a
dollar.IMO

I just heard last Friday the Cabela's now owns some property up at Polaris and they are thinking about building a store. It would be nice to have one closer than Wheeling.

Regards, Dave

I buy a case or two every year at Ben Avery at the Weatern Shoot. You can get Goex for $11.00 and Wano for $10.00 no tax no HASMAT.

The western shoot at Ben Avery is where I get my powder too.The price is definitely right.
