I have an adjustable rear sight from the factory Just wondering if it would be a good idea to install a primitive fix site in what the best one would be I’m guessing track of the wolf would be the place to get it if anybody has any thoughts and love to hear them

With a muzzle loader we handle a rifle more than shooting a typical unmentionable. I to often wonder if those types of sights are easily bumped out of adjustment. A solidly mounted primitive sight seems more secure. Once sighted in I never change my sights.

I'd leave it alone. But if you really want AND own a good set of files then LCS, TOTW, TGWE, or DGW will have something that will work. Don't expect it to be 'drop in'.

Just wait. As we age our eyes tend to focus further and further out and we will appreciate having the sight a few inches down the barrel. I have several rifles that have two or more dovetails for rear sights that were installed as the original owner aged.
