camp knife

I just finished making a "camp" knife. I used a piece of steel from a Jeep leaf spring. It's 13 1/4" long and 1/4" thick. The handle is straight gain maple. It's super sharp. What do you think?

Looks preety dang good to me, looks like it can do all your camp chores and then some :hatsoff:

I am glad you are swinging it, and not me. I used an old truck spring to make my first Bowie Knife more than 50 years ago. Its a clunk to carry, and tires your wrist when using it, too.


I think your knife will be a good meat cleaver in its present guise. You did nice work, BTW. :thumbsup:
