Hi fellas,
Thanks for your help so far in helping me get the most out of the Deerstalker I bought last December. I'm feeling pretty good with the DS and shot a deer in the late ML season here in Pennsylvania. By the way I have a left hand flint lock .50 caliber. Shooting a flint lock has been dream of mine for many years.
I'd like to get a shot barrel for the Deerstalker and I've noticed that some shot barrels are available, from Track I think, for the GPR but not the Deerstalker. Can a GPR barrel be used on my rifle? I realize that one of the wedge key rings will be hanging out in the wind since the forearm is shorter but I think I can get along with that.
One of the guys here mentioned that Lyman used to offer a 20 ga barrel but they are not a factory part any longer.
Just wondering if anyone has tried this?
Thanks for the help.
Shoot and hunt safely you don't want to fly in an EMS helicopter.
