Howdy guys!

I recently purchased an Armsport Kentuckian rifle on the internet. The rifle is beautiful and accurate, but the trigger pull on the single trigger is about 10lbs.

Rather than trying to adjust the trigger can I get a double-set trigger assembly that will fit on this rifle?

If I recall the Armsport rifle correctly, the bow for the trigger in the trigger is sized for a single trigger. A double trigger would likely be too large to fit inside your trigger guard. You would be better served to improve the single trigger function.

There's a lot of questions to ask, such as where does the sear arm meet the trigger? Have the burrs on the trigger and lock parts been polished off? What experience do you have working with metal?

Most if not all rifles built with a single trigger will not have a fly in the tumbler which is needed for a set trigger. Simply polishing and stoning the contact between the tumbler and sear can be a big help on trigger pull. You want the sear and tumbler to meet at a 90 degree angle, less than ninety degrees you will "fight" the main spring, more than 90 degrees and the sear will "push off" and not hold the tumbler. :idunno: :idunno:
