Sorry for dumm question but I'm dealing with black powder shortage here. I have FFFFG and I have FFG, can I mix it together in equal proportion and use as substitute of FFFG (I'm shooting colt clone)
FFg will work just fine in a revolver. It may make some small difference in accuracy, but my test of just 10 rounds showed no appreciable difference between the FFg and FFFg using the same volume.
Bunk

A long time ago I did a lot of shots with 4Fg in a Remington NMA, only with 15 grains (never talk about: a lot of people here don't like much 4Fg) for a question of accuracy. After that, the 4Fg had become too expensive, so I began to buy 3Fg, which was largely better and for only 20 grains. Now I only shoot with 3Fg and it is perfect. I never have tested the 2Fg, but why not...
Don't mix your powders and shoot them, maybe the 2Fg could seem a bit soft, but it could be good to try that...
