I'm running low on good heavy candle wick and all the local crafty stores have is the kind for artsy pillar candles, with a strip of blue plastic inside. Anyone have a source for wicking that looks right?
Internet seaches are fine, but I'd like to hear from folk who've held the stuff in their hands.

I just bought another pottery lamp from a potter friend and I asked him the same question. He buys in bulk but suggested I look for a common kitchen mop with the mop portion being all cotton. My lamps take a round wick and I guess I'll look for the right mop.

I use twisted up tow for my grease lamp, but I'm looking for braided candle wick for making candles. Candle making season is coming.

We have a candle making factory here..When I have the time I`ll stop and see if I can buy wicks
