Up for sale is a 3pdr. (from South Bend Replicas) on a galloper carriage that I built.
Bore is two and one sixteenth (approx.) and is 35 inches in length. Weighs in at around 135lb. Carriage is built off a pattern by Robert Mueller of 1758 "A Treatise of Artillery" , second edition. Wheels are 52 inches in dia.. Width of carriage plus wheels is approx. 72 inches, 61 inches across the top from tire to tire. Trails are 12 foot,(approx.).
7800.00 is my asking price. I'm south of Ft. Wayne Indiana, Gun will have to be picked up there. Galloper 3pdr. 1.jpg Galloper 3pdr. 1.jpg galloper 3pdr. 2.jpg galloper 3pdr. 3.jpg galloper 3pdr. 4.jpg galloper 3pdr. 5.jpg galloper 3pdr. 6.jpg

I bought the tube from Paul about 20yrs. ago and started the build of the carriage a couple of days after I picked up the barrel. Thanks for the compliment

Great job on the carriage. Wow. That is a beauty. Several years ago I bought a couple reproduction cannons, one a 36" swivel gun, probably close to yours, and the other a scaled down Parrot rifle about five feet long with a bore just under 3". All the materials are assembled, I just have not yet assembled everything into the crude but functional carriage I hope to get. We shoot them in makeshift or crude carriages, and they make great noise. Hope you get what you want for it. Whoever ends up with it is going to be a proud daddy

It was a labor of love to translate old English writing to something I could understand and build on. At times its been difficult to keep it looking good. The first time out it became a victim of theft while I was having breakfast with the group I was traveling with. Some one took a shining to the muzzle cover, coin and linstock. Thanks for looking and the compliments.
