Canvas Bags

I was thinking of getting a Fowler Bag. TOTW has a canvas bag which is a nice size and good price.

Is it a wise choice or should I spring for a leather one for nearly three times the cost.

I only plan to use it for upland hunting for pheasant which means a few times a year as I like to squirrel hunt with a .36 also and won't need a large bag for that.
 
I made some canvas bags using "GoldHunter"'s double pouch pattern that he so graciously shared with me.
I like the fact that they dont hang up like rigid leather does on stuff.
I am told that canvas was popular as well back in the day(sail cloth, oil skins ect)

I think they are fine for most useage, I have one from Jas Townsend that was pretty cheap but well made there is a pic of it over on the Accesories forum under the bag thread.
