Canvas Weight

Howdy, I am in the process of looking for canvas to make some F & I War style gaiters. I have found 10 oz canvas/duck in the local area and was wondering if this is heavy enough canvas?

I plan on painting them black with an oil paint that I have had some success with in the past.

Any ideas?

The 10oz should work fine. I made a pair years ago and (unfortuantley had to) painted them with a black latex paint and they are still holding up great.
