I found 2 tins of #11 caps. Almost had a spasm, $24+ per tin! I could have bought a cap maker for that price. Can you use roll caps with the Tap O Cap, rather then buying their priming compound?
I have used roll caps in the past. Use an exacto knife to slice off the dot from the strip, and put in your home made cap using a wooden match stick. I have found that 2-3 dots seem to work well. Once the cap is loaded with the dots, I lightly spray the cap opening with Aqua-net hair spray to keep the dots in place.I found 2 tins of #11 caps. Almost had a spasm, $24+ per tin! Pardon the question but the hairspray doesn't affect the ignition of the caps?I have used roll caps in the past. I have no issues with a light spray. It helps to keep the cap dots in the cap and seals them in place.Pardon the question but the hairspray doesn't affect the ignition of the caps?
