I am about to receive my cards that I ordered and would like to get some wool weaving yarn ahead of time. I was wondering what type of wool yarn is best for card weaving. I want to make some wool leg garters and a wool waistbelt for my frock.

And does Joanns or Michaels sell this type of yarn?

I would look for worsted wool... here is a place that has it... http://www.yarnbarn-ks.com/home.asp

I have not had any luck with michaels dont now about Joanns..
if you have a knitting shop in your area, might check there..

are you getting a book with your cards on setting up your weaving. Patterns are handy to have if your new at card weaving...one more thought, if you have never done this before get some cheap yarn or cotton rug warp for your first project.. have fun :)
