How do you guys carry your charged, but uncapped spare cylinders, with the nipples up or down?

I got a couple of the Cabela's leather spare cylinder carriers, they appear formed to carry with the nipples down & balls up. My problem with this, is in case of accidental discharge, would I want the balls in my upper body/head, or into my leg/foot?

Chances are slim of said accident, but Murphy's law cannot be discounted.

I don't own any spare cylinders YET, but I'd carry them with the nipples pointed down if uncapped! Since I use wonder-wads between the powder and the balls, I figure that you could smoke a ciggarette and drop an ash (I wouldn't recommend it!) near the pouch and not have to worry about a hot ash or spark traveling down the nipples :surrender: . In a light rain, for instance, if the nipples were pointed down in the leather, the end of the load that ignites wouldn't be subjected to moisture as much  .

Others may differ, but I think that my points are valid, even on a humid day without rain.

Just my 2 cents' worth.

I have bought several of the spare cylinder holders. Even a double one. I usually buy mine from Dixie. I use them for civil war reenactments. What I do is attach a pice of leather shoelace so that when I put the cylinder in them all I have to do is pull on the lace and it pops right out. I only use them for reenacting so it's filled with powder and oatmeal, no balls. I cap them. and I place them caps up. The cylinder pouches I place in the small of my back. Of course I am using a Remington so easy to replace them. Colts would be another story.
