Next on the chopping block is a nice probably unfired 2nd gen 51 navy. No original box but someone put together a nice kit! This is an early 2nd gen gun! The flask is a Dixon I believe and the molds are colt 2nd gen. Antique eley cap tin not much else to say, just a nice old 2nd gen colt! Someone gold filled the engraving also. Again only selling to help fund my families cabin I’m building! Please ask any questions and feel free to PM me!!!

No, it is a 2nd gen, only the signature series “buff box” colts had the signature on the back strap. These were silver plated brass back straps and trigger guards colt also chose to build them with squared off trigger guards a feature only found on the very earliest navy guns.

Yeah actually a friend of mine actually is the one who purchased it. Lol. He contacted me and said he is getting it. I’m glad he is the one so maybe I can trade him out of it after the new wears off.
