I took my '61 colt and '58 Remington revolvers to the range today, shooting at my 3x5 cards for the contest...and yes thats all i did was shoot AT them...I can't hit nothin at 25yards :rotf:
I always use Remington #10 caps...they work great on the remington and are a little snug but work on the colt as well...
I switch over to CCI #10 caps just to compare today and noticed that they barely fit on the remington and i could not get a single one to squeeze onto the colt...
Obviously the CCIs are either smaller or the Remingtons are larger...Is this the norm? Are CCI #11 caps smaller than Remington #11 just as are the #10s?

I think you're correct. With #10 CCI caps I can't even turn the cylinder of my '61 colt -- they don't fit on well enough.

Yes, you are correct. The ID of the Remington caps is a tad larger than the CCI.

For what it's worth, the Remingtons may be a bit hotter. I use combustable cartridges in my Pietta '58, and had to prick the cartridge through the vent when using CCIs in order to get reliable ignition. So far I haven't had to bother to do so with the Remingtons. They seem to punch right through the paper cartridge.

Somethin that's wurth triing whan yer shuutin at that kard is ta put up a big peece o paper an put yer kard rite in the midddle of it.
