For anybody who takes their handgun shooting seriously, and I mean VERY seriously, this little article on Youtube by Chap on the Range is well worth watching. In it he explains how the likes of Manton and LePage made the action of the flintlock pistol into not only a mechanical work of art, but a scene-setter that would be familiar today to any shooter of the Free pistol. As with any product of this pair of geniunely-motivated mavens [who just happen to live in Switzerland] I'm giving this article a solid 10/10.

Thanks for the heads up about the video. I'm sidelined after surgery and re-reading black powder material, especially flintlocks. Amazing how much therapy there is in Eric Bye's flintlock book and back issues of Muzzleloader magazine.
