I found a .32 Cherokee yesterday and it shoots great, my problem is that some previous owner has messed with the lock to the point that it has a 1# or less trigger and the screws inside the lock plate are all buggered up to the point that an attempt to repair will require replacement of the screws. The question being, are there replacement parts available or are there any (competent) Lock Smiths that do work on Thompson Centers? Is there anyone who makes replacement locks for the little TCs? This would be a great starter gun for my grandkids, and the initial investment on the gun is little enough that spending a little to get it right is justifiable.

The T/C Cherokee/Seneca factory burned which destroyed the best gun line that T/C ever produced. (IMHO) They no longer offer any support to these guns at all which is highly unusual for this company which supports all others so well.

Yuo puzzle me a bit with your comments regarding the weight of the trigger pull. Is this the set trigger or regular trigger that is so light? The set trigger has been the source of more questions with these guns than the locks as the locks were rarely user worked.

You might seek replacement screws as your best option if the lock needs work and you should seek a good gunsmith. I will check my old smith to see if he might be able to assist or give suggestions.

I do not believe that there is a drop in replacement lock for that gun, but used parts are sometimes found via the internet or gun shows.

I really like my Seneca in .36 -- I wish you well with yours.

Still try contacting T/C. I had a fly wear out in my Cherokee last year and was not able to find one anywhere so I called T/C. A week later in the mail was a new fly.

DanL, has a lock for sale in the classified section. Maybe that will work for you Brand new never used. Bill

The rifle in question is a single trigger

Someone commented to me that he suspected that T/C might have used the same screws on all side locks and they might be able to assist you with these after all.
