when working up loads for accuracy on a new to me rifle or bullet change to an old rifle I like to take the shooter (me) out of the variables as much as possible by using not only a bench but a fixture/jig/rest/ whatever to steady up but more importantly reduce variables

I find my Caldwell 7 for unmentionables is all wrong for our funny shaped long n narrow front stuffers

I don't want to go back to sand bags ..I'm thinking light and effective

So what's working for you fellow shooters

PS: at 3.5 lbs and long gun and pistol capable the MTM "predator Shooting rest" looks interesting ..anyone have any history with one ???
