I got my Jack Hubbard Militia Musket yesterday. I had ordered it while still making good money. It has a Long Land pattern triggerguard and buttplate. The barrel is a 12 gauge 43 1/2" Getz that looks like it was meant for a French military musket. It sorta goes from 16 flats, to 8 flats, to round with no wedding band. The black walnut stock is cut back so a bayonet would fit, and it has a bayonet lug front sight. The pipes and square brass sideplate washers are homemade. The lock is an L&R Queen Ann. A .715 ball will fit down the barrel but it's too snug for a thick patch. I think I'll get a .690 bag mold. It is basically a light weight Brown Bess knock off. I also got the Wick Elerbe knife sheath for my Hershel House knife. I'll post some pics when I get the chance.

Sounds like a pretty cool looking gun. Concerning the square brass washers for the lock bolts, are they inlet into the wood out just on the surface?

They are inlet into the wood. This gun shoulders perfectly. Jack's guns always do.

Here are some original muskets, that inspired this one.
