Recently there was a topic in which someone had posted a picture of 5 rifles. The wood in each had been stained by a different method. The method and results were shown. One was the use of Chromic acid. In the photo, the stock that had been stained with chromic acid appeared to have a greenish cast to it. My questions, I suppose would be: Can anyone help me find the thread, and does chromic acid cause a greenish cast to the wood or was that a result of the photograph and my computer.
