Hello I can not post a picture of the horn in question,it was owned by the late Chuck Burrows the horn is often pictured with hunting bags that he had made, perhaps someone can find the picture and have a look,it was made from a cow horn it is an original horn that he acquired in Virginia the dates 1791 and 1825 are carved in the horn.I would like to purchase the horn from chuck's family and want to make sure that I give them full value for it,any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.Duane

Did you ask them if it's for sale?

If it is, did you ask them how much they want for it?

It would seem that they would be the one's to set the price?

The horn is for sale, they do not know how much to charge for it or its value.I do not want to take advantage of them,so I would like to know what a good price would be.Duane

No idea what a fair value would be. I looked at some Cabin Creek originals that they brokered/sold and simple horns were $195 to $225.

Track of the Wolf has an original double twist with scrimshaw for $249

One similar (and who can say from comparing images) to Chuck's sold for $400 at Skinner Auctions.

They have others they are asking to start over $3,000 - some double that.

Whatever price you're both relatively happy at.
