CLA she cancelled for 2020

I received the email yesterday that the CLA annual show, in Lexington KY has been cancelled for 2020. The email is as follows:

Contemporary Longrifle Association Members:

OCTOBER, 2020 CLA SHOW CANCELLED!

The CLA Board of Directors is disappointed to report that the Lexington Convention Center was forced to cancel our October 29, 30, AND 31, 2020, CLA show due to construction delays.

• It was reported on August 27, by the construction company, that the facility would not be ready until December, 2020.
  
  This news was totally unexpected to both the managers of the Lexington Convention Center and to the CLA Administration and CLA BOD as plans were being made to hold the event with mask and social distancing.
  
  The CLA Board of Directors has authorized the CLA Administrative staff to move forwarded as follows:
  
  Announce the cancellation of the 2020 CLA show.
• Reserve the Lexington Convention Center for our 25th anniversary show for August 19, 20, and 21, 2021.
• Offer members that had reserved table or booth space the opportunity to:
• Apply their 2020 payment to reserve space for 2021 (New rates may apply)
  or receive a refund check (The CLA office will contact table / booth holders to determine their preference in the week or so.)
• Cancel our blocks of rooms for 2020 with the Hyatt and the Hilton. Be sure to cancel your hotel reservation!
• Extend the terms of the CLA Officers and BOD until August 2021.
  
  The show cancellation news is disappointing to everyone. On the positive side the CLA 25th Anniversary Show in 2021 is less than one year away. Plans are being made for this wonderful event that will be in a new ballroom at the Lexington Convention Center with beautiful display space.
