Was digging around in the basement and found a couple bottles. Not sure how long it's been in storage. Still sealed tight.

Does it last like regular black powder? It's a little clumpy. I don't think they make it anymore.

Thanks

Cleanshot, A.K.A. American Pioneer Powder. Probably clumped due to moisture. Has a shelf life. Depends on how much exposure to humidity. As long as you have it, use it for plinking, but I would not use it for hunting.

Might be Ok if it is still sealed and never opened but since you say it is clumped I guess you opened it. :shocked2: In that case if you just opened it shoot it fast as it deteriorates fast like about 6 months. I have a bottle sitting here that is garbage like it was suggested it maybe ok for plinking but I would not use it for hunting. Ticks me off 18 bucks wasted pretty much since I can tell it is deteriorated. Needless to say this can promted me to go back to Black Powder I know that will last about forever if taken care of.

Clean Shot's formula had problems with shelf life and attracting moisture. APP which is basically the same company reconfigured the formula to make it less susceptable to moisture and increased shelf life.

If it's clumpy I would throw out the clumps and try the remainder at the range and see what happens, worst case just throw it out.
