I have a Rifle Musket (63 Springfield) that will not take the ramrod its full length.. There is something (dirt or debris) down in the bottom of the channel that is preventing the ramrod going all the way in.. It is about half an inch or so thick. What is the best way of getting down there and pulling the offending debris out? I am thinking of taking a hard wooden dowel and cutting a scraping edge on it and work on it that way..
Question.. Is there another patent way to do this or is my idea sound?
