I wanted to make some matching gunsmith tools (screwdrivers, nipple keys, cleaning rods, etc) without spending a whole lot of money for a cased set of percussion revolvers. Found a place online
that sells rosewood handles in two sizes with brass ferules that work fine with an oil finish added. My first effort is a brass cleaning rod from the possible shop added and the small handle so the cleaning rod cost about $12.99 total and a little time and epoxy.
Anyway I like Grace screwdrivers so I wrote to the company (made in the USA) asking how they hold their shafts in so I could remove them and rehandle them.
They don't do retail but Brownells, Track, and a bunch of other places carry them.
Instead they offiered to pull some finished unhandled shafts off the line and send them to me for a nominal fee. They also offered to adjust them if need be to fit my percussion revolvers. Talk about customer service when so much stuff
is made in China and can't be adjusted this was just great. Quality product, American made, and good service, what more could you ask for?
