Do any club listings exist on this site? I'm interested in ML club in northern Illinois.

FelixD, if you're in Lake County the nearest club is across the cheese curtain in Kenosha County. The Conservation Club of Kenosha County (CCKC) has a black powder range back behind the "modern" rifle range. Things are winding down now with the close of deer hunting, the holidays and such. The range is open saturdays and sundays, when you get there, the road back to the BP range is to the left of the modern range with a sign showing if the range is open or closed. To get to the range, get to the intersection of Wisconsin Hwy C and Route 45. Take 45 north to the next left turn, Hwy AH. Take AH west and follow it around the curve, on your left is the main enterance to the shooting ranges. Stay to the right (one way) and go around the last row of parking to the gate leading to the BP/Air Rifle/Skirmish ranges. Head on back and just follow the dirt road all the way back, you can't miss it.

Hello all,

I'd sure like to see a club listing by state with rendezvous and shoot dates as well as contact info. Make it easy and let members do all the input.

Perhaps the state muzzleloading association in the state you are interested has a website that gives club info. I know in my state they do.

:hmm: For New Yorkers etc. here is the link for that info--- New York State Muzzleloaders Association. This by no means is a complete list of clubs but fairly comprehensive. Also I could suggest Muzzle Blasts from the NMLRA has a section devoted to clubs, locations, contact etc. :hatsoff:

Hey Oomcurt,

I guess what I mean't was a directory of sorts. For instance I travel a multi state area. It would be cool to be able to visit a club shoot or rendezvous in some of my travel areas.

I guess I have some info to put out there. I belong to the first of the following clubs.

Sierra Muzzleloaders. Forbestown, Ca. We are a primitive muzzle loading club. We have about 150 members. We camp, shoot and hunt primitive. We have a long term lease on 760 acres. We have rifle and pistol courses, tradegun (long gun and pistol), primitive archery, a cannon range, a clay bird range and a fort shoot range. Our membership cost is $30.00 dollars a year for a family. Members may camp on the property any time they wish to. We have a spring "open" rendezvous and a fall primitive. We also have an invitational week long winter camp. We shoot monthly (year round) on the first Sunday of the month. Many of us camp for the entire weekend. We are located about 2 hrs from Reno, NV. and about an hour and a half from Sacramento, Ca. I guess since I am the president (can you say sucker) this year I am the point of contact.

Send me a private message for more info.

The other nearby club is the Brushy Creek Rangers.
They have monthly shoots on the sunday following the third thursday. They have an excellent site owned by the dept of fish and game. They hold one rendezvous each year in may. While they do have a primitive camping area (within earshot of generators) this is an "RV_VOO" organization. They are a great bunch of people. I guess I'll volunteer to be a point of contact for them as well. This club is located near Marysville, Ca about 1.5 hrs from Sacramento, Ca.

Charcloth.

A membership in the NMLRA will give you access to a listing of all "charter" clubs around the country. These are obviously not the only clubs around but they will get you to a lot of others. And, the NMLRA needs all the support we can give it.
