There used to be be a few clubs around the area just a few years ago. They seem to have folded up. Anyone with any information on clubs close by. Thanks

I'm in the same boat you are. I am moving to st louis this spring and am trying to find people and places to shoot.

Go To Dutch Schoultz's website, BlackPowderRifleAccuracySystem.com( see his link here), and contact him. He lives in Missouri, in the St. Louis area, and I know he knows everybody who is anybody in the gun clubs down there. Don't be afraid to ask about clubs at gun stores, either. There are no shortages of public ranges in Missouri for people to use to shoot. They have them in state parks, and forest preserves all over the state.

ZYou can also contact the NMLRA and they can give you phone numbers for the field representatives in Missouri, who can steer you to a ML club near you.

There are still clubs in the St. Louis area. The first that comes to mind is "The Trappers of Starved Rock" and they have a web site but I don't recall the address. There are a few others but I don't know what they're called or how to contact them. There's also a group that shoots at Old Mines, near Potosi, some groups a little farther west, out 70 and 44 and another group out 94 near Marthasville. I know there are groups on the Illinois side too. There's no shortage of places and groups to shoot with.

Check the midwest buckskinner info page. I don't know the URL, but Bullseye, Trappers, and Gemmer are listed.

The bullseye club is located near DeSoto MO, and is primarily a modern gun club. However, there is a strong ML contingent in the membership.

Bullseye hosts a rendezvous once a year in addition to a woodswalk in Feb.

GEmmer is a ML club with a range located near Robertsville MO. They host a club shoot each month and several events open to the public each year.

The Trappers of Starved Rock are located in the west county area, near St. Charles. I don't know what range facilities or what type of shoots they have.

There are also a coupla modern clubs in the area, with a few members who shoot black powder, but I don't have any contact info on them.

I gave the wrong name for the web page with contact information for St. Louis area gun clubs.

The correct name is;
Mid America Buckskinners Info Page

Sorry 'bout that.

The Gemmer Gun Club owns their own range on the Meramec River near Pacific Missouri. As J.D. stated we have monthly shoots on the first Sunday from March through December. We shoot traditional muzzleloading rifles. You will find me on the Buckskinner Information Pages.

There is Bullseye with a range near the Big River. The range is about 50 miles south of St. Louis.

Trappers of Starved Rock is near St. Charles, MO.

Private mail any of us for more information.
