I have started working on plans for a collapsible wagon that i can load in the parking lot and pull to my camp site. then disassemble the wagon into furniture for my camp. When they ask why im pulling the wagon i'll say injuns stole my horses.

PLEASE "publish" the plans when you complete it. = That I would truly like to see.
(Will it be anything like the handcarts that the docents have/pull/push at Colonial Williamsburg>)

yours, satx

That sounds way cool ....cant wait to see the finished product.

I can't find the reference, but someplace I have a period illustration of an Itinerant Tinker and his cart, and it looks like the carts from Colonial Williamsburg...what was interesting was that there was cloth hung from the bottom edge of the cart so the Tinker could sleep sheltered beneath it.

On the other hand if you don't like sleeping on the ground, you could fix it so you could sleep in the cart with some sort of canvas roof overhead.

The real problem would be the wheels...getting the right ones....

When you mentioned, this idea, my game cart came to mind. A wooden version, with period wheels, would work. Hope to see it, when you get it done.

at the last rendezvous I saw two of them in use hauling water and firewood. I think I took photos. I'll see
