If i were looking for a reasonably PC colonial pistol for what and where should i be looking?

And Happy 4th to all!

I always think on terms of building one not buying a completed one. I don't think you could go wrong with this one. the .54 caliber would be my choice for deer. Go look at the Jim Chamber's pistol at flintlocks.com.

Are you looking for a good builder to build such a pistol, a kit to build yourself or a factory made gun? The latter will not be very representative of a colonial pistol in my book.

If a kit, I would suggest doing a google search for Chris Altland and York County Firelocks to go to his website.
