I have in my collection a beautiful case of duelling pistols made by the gunmaker to a former king of Belgium. He was evidently a man with a sense of humor or a contempt for the usual cause de combat, for its elaborate tracings show a cupid extinguishing the torch of love, in a manner not unfamiliar to those who have a knowledge of Belgian art.
