It's been a while since I posted any pictures, so thought I'd share this one showing a recent project I finished. This is a slim jim style holster I made for my ASM Colt Walker.

Thanks Bill! I used some 9oz. veg tan leather I sourced from Kentucky Leathers earlier this spring. I also really enjoy making a holster with very graceful lines, so I study lots of pictures and original gun leather whenever I have the opportunity. For stamping, I try to keep it relatively simple and somewhat understated, which seems to typically be more eye-appealing. I use oil based dyes versus any of the water based options, and then I do a cover coat in oil and then use a 18th/19th century period receipe dubbin' for the final coat.
