Just wanted to say hi. Getting back into muzzle loading after about a 10 year "break". Must have been insane to give it up but at the time I needed the money for family stuff and sorta wandered away. Can't wait to get back to it. Have to say it was more fun than modern guns by a long shot :)

Glad to be here and thanks DanC. I noticed east texas. Been reading the forums and came away with a lot of new information.

Hi Michael, good to have you back. Yes, sometimes other things take priority, but it is always nice to be able to get back to what we all enjoy.

At the moment nothing. Looking to get a new gun. Last was an old .45 Kentucky long rifle in a kit that was given to me.. lol that lasted about 3 shots before it fell apart. Before that I had a well used .50 Hawken and a Navy .36 replica. Both of those lasted a good 10 years with hard use.

You will find no shortage of opinions or advice on the matter here...

Welcome to the MLF Michael! Once BP is in your blood you can not get rid of it. Keep and eye on the Forum Classifieds, you can pick up some great wares there.

Well, you might want to go to a Dallas Muzzleloader shoot around Tool, TX. I have a couple ALRA compadres that are from McKinney and Plano.

Welcome

Keith

Thanks Keith. Its's hard figuring everything out in a new place. That and there are so many cities close together in this area and also being close to a couple other counties makes it a pain looking things up at times.
