This shameless Horner  thought that I would show you another flat powder horn that I just finished about an hour ago. The horn has been flattened to 1 inch thick and I hand engraved a fancier than usual compass rose on it. That "N" at the top is a reference to my home state of Nebraska! ... See, you thought it was for the direction North! ____ :rotf:
Anyway, the horn is about 10 inches around the outside curve and 3 inches at the top to bottom part of the base. The wood base, pegs and tapered stopper are cherry and I carved a simple strap groove in the neck for the front strap connection and a forged iron staple in the rear.
Thanks for looking at another one of my horns,
Rick
