With a bore that rates at least an 8/10, with possible improvement, this is a shooter/low level collector grade Confederate Enfield rifle. The metal was cleaned at some point, and the wood has splitting from the lock washer being screwed down too tight. Easy fix, and patina will just come with age.

Would make a nice collector piece for someone not wanting a $2200+ CS Enfield, and for a shooter that wants to shoot a legitimate Confederate Enfield.
